Woman arrested on prostitution charges at local library

TEWKSBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A woman was arrested in Tewksbury Tuesday after allegedly offering sex for a fee at the library.

Police were given information that a suspect, later identified as Brittany Macintyre, was soliciting sex for a fee from someone at the library. Detectives were sent in to investigate and Macintyre approached one of them right away, officials say. She then passed a pen and paper to a detective and notes were exchanged until she asked for $60 to perform a sex act.

Macintyre, 20, of Nashua was arrested at about 6 p.m. on charges of sexual conduct for a fee. She also had an outstanding warrant for drug possession.

Macintyre was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
