Wollaston station reopens following police investigation

QUINCY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) --Red Line trains are stopping at Wollaston Station again after a police investigation prompted its closure Friday morning.

MBTA police said that a K9 unit detected something in the area of a communications box just inside the station entrance. Police used an X-Ray on the box and did not find anything.

The station was reopened at about 8:30 a.m.

The MBTA was shuttling passengers from North Quincy Station to Wollaston via bus while the station was closed.
