WEYMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run in Weymouth.
Michael Fay, 48, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court.
The accident happened Sunday night on Middle Street in front of the Bucks Bar & Grill. Witnesses told police that Fay refused to pay his bar tab and walked out of the restaurant. The victim followed him outside and demanded the bill be paid, according to police.
When Fay attempted to back out of the parking lot, police said he hit the victim, pinning him between two vehicles.
Police said Fay is facing several charges, including OUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
The 38-year-old victim from Weymouth suffered severe trauma. He was taken to South Shore Hospital and later transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
