Witness helps police nab reported Burlington bank robber


BURLINGTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – An eyewitness account led to the arrest of a Burlington bank robber who reportedly robbed a Citizens Bank on Middlesex Turnpike on Tuesday.

According to police, the suspect reportedly walked into the bank around 3 p.m. and demanded cash.

Officers responded to the bank and talked with a witness who gave them the exact description of the suspect's getaway vehicle.

Within minutes, authorities had tracked down the suspect who led them on a brief car chase.

Jason Jewett, 38, of Billerica, was arrested and being charged with unarmed robbery. He is being held at the Burlington Police Station.
