BOSTON — Dropping temperatures and wet weather set up dangerous early morning conditions Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters are warning commuters to look out for ice in the early morning hours as temperatures dipped below freezing across Middlesex and Essex Counties late Monday night.

The rain turned into a freezing drizzle in some places and the wet weather created the perfect conditions for ice even into Cambridge and parts of Metro West.

Commuters should be taking things slow and driveways and roads across the region are going to be slippery and dangerous.

However, fog had settled in on the Pike and all over the Boston metro area by early morning hours.
