Winner announced: Healthy Communities

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) -This past summer, Fallon Community Health Plan launched a new grant program called FCHP's Healthy Communities Challenge. Through the program, Fallon looked to reward local programs that help make Massachusetts a healthier place by promoting healthy living, good nutrition or physical activity with a $5,000 grant.  

Community organizations submitted their program through FCHP's Facebook page. Ten finalists were selected and posted on the Facebook page and voting was open to the public. The winner of the Healthy Communities challenge is Middleboro BOKS.

Heather Montross, a trainer with BOKS, recently joined the FOX 25 Morning News along with Pat Hughes, the CEO of Fallon Community Health Plan, and Dr. Roseli Weiss, superintendent of Middleboro Schools.
