WINCHENDON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man died in a snowmobiling accident at the Lake Dennison Recreation Area on Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 1 p.m.. The Massachusetts Environmental Police, the agency in charge of handling such incidents, stated that the man was driving his snowmobile at a "high rate of speed when he collided head-on with a tree."
Michael McGregor, a 49-year-old Winchendon resident, was taken to Heywood Hospital in Gardner where he was pronounced dead.
