Wilfork excited to be on field after major injury

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is excited to be back on the field after recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.

He's putting that and a contract squabble behind him as he prepares for his 11th NFL season since the Patriots drafted him in 2004.

Wilfork says he had no physical limitations during the team's three-day minicamp that ended Thursday.

The five-time Pro Bowler suffered the season-ending injury in the fourth game last year. He says he's recovered well from surgery and is getting used to the physical part of the game again.

Wilfork also says he holds no grudge after settling his contract dispute by restructuring it into a reported three-year, $22.5 million deal.
