SOUTH BOSTON — A little boy diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor kicked off the annual South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade Sunday.
Six-year-old Devin Suau and his family are hoping to get into a clinical trial. The cancer, DIPG, does not have many treatment options and to promote awareness about the need for a cure, his family has been using the hashtag #WhyNotDevin.
Devin has always wanted to be a police officer and got to serve as the Framingham Police chief for the day.
His uncle is a Boston Police officer, Justin Cremmins, and he and Devin were at the front of the parade.
