BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Whole Foods announced a recall of beef Thursday, but then canceled it Friday.
The grocer said that after an investigation, they have confirmation that the cattle in question meant for their stores were not at risk for BSE. They were all under 30-months-old, officials say. The processor provided in-correct information, according to the grocer.
Thursday's voluntary recall came after the USDA found out that the Frutland American Meat Company out of Missouri may not have followed anti-mad cow disease procedures.
