White Sox manager Ventura ejected in 4th inning

BOSTON (AP) - White Sox manager Robin Ventura has been ejected for arguing in the fourth inning of Chicago's game against the Boston Red Sox.

Ventura came out of the dugout after third baseman Conor Gillaspie appeared to make a diving catch on a line drive by Dustin Pedroia with Boston's Jacoby Ellsbury on third.

Gillaspie lunged for the ball, which popped out of his glove as he stretched toward third to try and double up Ellsbury.

Third base umpire Paul Nauert called it a ground ball and Gillaspie rushed a wild throw to first, which allowed Ellsbury to score and Pedroia to advance to second.

Ventura spent several minutes arguing with Nauert and crew chief Dana DeMuth, who eventually had enough and tossed Ventura.
