FOXBOROUGH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Now that a casino is off the table in Foxborough, attention turns to what will happen to the large plot of land it was slated for.
New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft and Las Vegas mogul Steve Wynn were hoping to build a casino on a vacant 200-acre plot across from Gillette on Route 1.
Those plans fell apart last week when the pair announced they would no longer pursue a gambling resort in the town after voters overwhelmingly elected two anti-casino selectmen to the board.
The Kraft Group is not commenting on any future development plans for the property.
