West Yarmouth man charged with OUI, 5th offense

YARMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 48-year-old man is charged with OUI, his fifth offense, after he was pulled over on Route 28 in South Yarmouth on Friday.

Joseph Juan Montanez, of West Yarmouth, was arraigned Monday morning on several charges: operating under the influence, operating a motor vehicle after revocation for habitual traffic offender, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Police said they stopped Montanez as he drove west on Route 28 in South Yarmouth at about 11:13 p.m.

After interviewing Montanez, officers said they determined that his license was revoked and that he was intoxicated. Montanez was placed under arrest.

Montanez was convicted of OUI in 1999, 2002, 2006, and 2009.
