WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A West Bridgewater spa was shut down by police and federal agents amid allegations of prostitution.
Police told the Brockton Enterprise authorities had evidence that 888 Spa was allegedly offering sexual activity between massages.
The spa was inspected and fined by authorities for operating a massage and spa without a license after police received the information. The spa then changed its operational title to a business practicing "Asian body work" after being fined, the newspaper reported.
An undercover officer went to the spa on Tuesday as directed to do so by Detective Timothy Nixon and was offered sex for a fee. The conversation lead to a raid by West Bridgewater officers and Homeland Security.
The investigation is ongoing and charges on everyone involved are still pending.
