Water taps stolen from Berkeley Community Garden

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Vandals broke into a garden in the South End and stole metal water taps over the weekend.

All but two of the water taps were taken from the Berkeley Community Garden sometime over the weekend.

Garden officials said 42 taps were taken in total. They said that the gates to the garden were locked, leading them to believe that someone hopped the fence. Officials said they think the taps were stolen for their scrap metal value.

The garden is located at 500 Tremont Street.
