WATCH: Man armed with gun robs Quincy gas station

QUINCY, Mass. — Quincy police have released video from inside a gas station as a man armed with a gun robbed it Tuesday night.

Police were called to the Prestige Gas Station on Franklin Street around 9:15 p.m.

When they arrived the clerk said he was walking into the store from outside when a black man wearing a mask grabbed him and forced him, at gunpoint, to the ground in the back of the store.

The cashier said the man held the gun to his head while another masked black man watched the front door. He was then ordered to hand over the keys to the store.

As customers approached, the men ran from the store into a dark color SUV with a partial Massachusetts plate 42K. The vehicle and robbers fled down Franklin Street towards School Street.

Police said the incident is similar to an armed robbery that occurred at Prime Gas on Hancock Street in January.
