Waltham police seek man who stabbed girlfriend's mother multiple times

WALTHAM, Mass. — Waltham police say they’re searching for a man who stabbed his girlfriend’s mother several times Tuesday night.

Ping Hong, 32, allegedly stabbed the woman on Howard Street around 11 p.m. and fled the scene.

Hong is described as Asian with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a medium build.

He was last seen driving a gray 4-door 2012 Subaru Legacy with Connecticut registration 2ASPW3.

Police said Hong may be headed to Connecticut or New York, and also has connections in the Vernon/Rockville area in Connecticut, as well as Flushing, New York.

He is also known to frequent Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The unidentified victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Her condition is currently unknown.
