WALTHAM, Mass. — Waltham police are searching for a missing 73-year-old woman.
Sara LaRoche just moved to the Waltham area on Thursday morning with her family and only speaks French-Creole. LaRoche’s nephew says she went for a walk and never returned home. It’s been about 30 hours and still no signs of her.
LaRoche left the house on Thursday, around 5 p.m., in the area of Brooke Avenue. A nearby store captured her walking by. She was last seen wearing a blue skirt and white shirt.

“We go to Milton to go see somebody, my sister in the church, when we come back, we don't see her,” said her nephew Gene LaRoche.
Grandma was at home babysitting the kids, ages 3 and 5 years old.
“We asked the kid, where is your grandma? They say grandma go outside. I say, no grandma can't go outside,” said Gene.
Officers from several departments went door to door, asking neighbors if they saw her. The family also joined in the search and is just hoping to get good news.
