Waltham parents "fed up" with numerous bomb threats rally in City Hall

On Friday night, Waltham parents and some of their children say they are "fed up and sick of" the countless bomb threats the schools has been receiving. They rallied in front of Waltham City Hall.
Both parents and the kids made their voices heard in efforts to mobilize the city to do something about the repeated bomb threat e-mails or calls.
"We want to feel safe at school," said 5-year-old Anarielle.
Kids as young as 5 years old have been feeling the effects of these constant threats.
Parents tell Boston 25 News reporter Malini Basu that the hoax has been going on for months now.
In September alone, Waltham Police investigated about 24 email bomb threats. One email said "there will be a boom! In your school! No one will be hurt but ceilings will fall!"
"At school, we've been getting bomb threats around the same time. All kids in my class are getting scared," said Eric Fiorentino, who's in 4th grade.
Some parents are so scared they aren't even sending their kids to school.
"I kept her home on the days (when there were threats) in the morning. It's almost like a second alarm clock. The alarm goes off and then we are getting a call that the school has a threat," said one of the parents.
Kids told Boston 25 News when they receive a threat, they are forced to stay locked in a room and aren't told anything.
Parents are asking school officials to excuse these absences as the children are becoming afraid to go to school.
