Waltham middle school student accused of penning threatening note

WALTHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 15-year-old Waltham student is facing charges after investigators said he was the author behind a threatening note that he initially claimed he had found.

The unidentified teen is charged with disturbance of school assembly and false report of location of explosives.

Investigators tell FOX 25 the Kennedy Middle School student presented a note to the teacher that he initially said he found. The note said there were bombs in the school.

The school was evacuated to the high school as a result of the note.

After an investigation, investigators say they learned the message was written by the student who turned it in. They claim he admitted to writing it.

The school was deemed safe at 11 a.m. after no devices were found.
