Viral: Skydiver nearly collides with mountain

A video making the rounds on viral sites shows a skydiver's near impact with a mountain.

The video taken on a helmet camera and uploaded by nemoskyfish, features a group of skydivers jumping out of a plane in Ambri, Switzerland.

According to the video's author, the group didn't notice they were over the wrong drop zone, which was too close to the ground. The video shows the camera operator speeding toward the face of the mountain before deploying his parachute and narrowly missing the rock face.

The author said that the fact that they survived was due to quick thinking by the skydivers involved.

The video was uploaded in 2010 but started to go viral this week with more than 700,000 views.
