Violent car crash in Methuen

METHUEN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are investigating a violent car crash in Methuen.
    
The car slammed into a tree on Riverside Road early Wednesday morning.
    
Methuen police posted on their Facebook page they were in pursuit of one vehicle when a black Honda tried to block officers chasing the first car. The Honda sped up and then went out of control, crashing into a tree.
    
One passenger is being treated at Lawrence General Hospital, while the other was flown to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Both are listed in critical condition.
