(MyFoxBoston.com) – They say a dog is a man's best friend, and a clip recently posted on YouTube proves it.
A video uploaded to YouTube March 29 by user melswanson502 captured the emotional reunion of an airman seeing his handicapped dog for the first time following a six-month deployment.
"My husband had been deployed for 6 months. Before he left, we adopted a special needs puppy, Emma, with a severe birth defect," melswanson502 wrote.
"Emma and her daddy were very close! It broke her heart when he left. When I come in the door, she normally sits at the end of the hallway and waits for me to pick her up. This time, when her daddy came in, she went to him! Gotta love homecomings!" melswanson502 added.
As of Wednesday morning, the video had more than 18,700 views.
