Victim of fatal Cape Cod crash identified

BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of the victim in a weekend fatal crash in Barnstable.

Police on Sunday identified the victim of the Saturday morning crash as 22-year-old Andrew Hurd.

Police tell

that Hurd was one of three people in a vehicle that went out of control and off the road at about 1:30 a.m. in Marstons Mills.

One man was flown by medical helicopter to a Boston area trauma center and two other men, including Hurd, were taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Hurd was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are still investigating and no charges have been filed.
