NORTHBOROUGH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A veteran is facing charges after he reportedly overturned a table containing literature comparing President Barack Obama and Adolf Hitler.
Carl Lund, 62, of Shrewsbury, admitted to officers that he hurled the table into the street because he "will not tolerate someone portraying the president of the United States as Adolf Hitler," reports The MetroWest Daily News.
Police responded to the Bank of America on West Main Street around 4 p.m. on Friday.
The men, both from Quincy, told police that Lund yelled at them for the display before throwing the table into the street.
Lund was not arrested, but will be receiving a summons to court on charges of malicious destruction of property.
The incident occurred on the 71st anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
