'A devastating experience': Vandals target NH mosque

NASHUA, N.H. — Vandals targeted a New England Mosque on the anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks.

You can see the damage in pictures from the scene. Someone threw a rock through a window at the Islamic Society of Greater Nashua.

The vandalism happened around 8 p.m. Sunday night. Several worshippers were inside at the time.

The president of the mosque invited FOX25 inside to show us the damage left behind. "It's a devastating experience," he said.

Police are investigating and the Council on American Islamic Relations has called for it to be treated as a possible hate crime.
