US high court won't hear appeal in Entwistle deaths

BOSTON (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a request to hear an appealfrom a British man who was convicted of killing his wife and infant daughter inHopkinton.

The high court on Monday rejected Neil Entwistle's request to review hiscase.

Entwistle was convicted in the 2006 fatal shootings of his wife, Rachel, andtheir 9-month-old daughter, Lillian.

Prosecutors argued at trial that Entwistle killed his wife and daughterbecause he was upset about his failure to find a job and growing debt.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court refused to overturn his convictionsin August.

The Entwistles met as students at the University of York in England in 1999.Months after their daughter's birth, the couple moved to Massachusetts to benear Rachel's family.
