Undercover officers in car accident responding to shots fired call


ROXBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- On their way to respond to a "shots fired" call in Roxbury, three undercover officers were involved in a car accident with another vehicle, police reported.

The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Three undercover officers were on their way to the Elmore Street area in Roxbury to respond to a call for shots fired. The accident occurred at the intersection of Ashmont Street and Dorchester Avenue. All three officers and two civilians were transported to the hospital.

As for the shots fired in the Elmore Street area, one person was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One person is in custody and police confiscated a firearm.
