UMaine professor dies on research trip to Antarctica

The University of Maine is mourning the loss of one of its professors who died in Antarctica.

Gordon Hamilton was conducting research on glaciers when the snowmobile he was riding reportedly fell 100 feet into a crevasse.

Hamilton worked at UMaine for 16 years.

He was a world leader in climate change research.
