Two-car crash in Eastham sends 5 to hospital

EASTHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A serious car crash in North Eastham sent five people to the hospital Tuesday morning.

The two-car crash, which occurred on Herringbrook Road, involved a minivan with seven people in it and pick-up truck with only one occupant.

The minivan passengers were trapped and had to be extricated. Three of those passengers were taken via ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital, and two of the passengers were taken via medical helicopter also to Cape Cod Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
