Two people dead following parking lot shooting in Roxbury

ROXBURY (MyFoxBoston.com) – Two men died after a shooting in Roxbury Friday.

The shooting happened at about 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Walgreen's Pharmacy on Warren Street.

According to Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, two men shot at a car parked in the parking lot. The suspects fled, running across Quincy Street and into a field.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Davis says the victims were in a car that had Nevada license plates. Investigators are working to identify the victims, who are believed to be in their twenties.
