1 dead, 1 injured after being shot while walking down street in Lynn

LYNN, Mass. — One man is dead and another is in the hospital after they were shot outside the Lynn Arts Building Sunday afternoon.

Police said the shooting happened just after 3 p.m. on Exchange Street. Two men, both in their 40s, were walking down the street and were shot.

One of the victims, Leonard Clement, 46, of Lynn, was rushed to North Shore Medical Center in Lynn where he was pronounced dead. The other victim, a 44-year-old male was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds and is expected to survive.

The suspect or suspects are still at large and police are interviewing witnesses and working on getting surveillance video.
