Two men ate filet, lobster, drank Grey Goose - and then dashed, say police

STURBRIDGE, Mass. — Two men treated themselves to a very nice meal in Sturbridge only to skip out on the bill.

Police are looking for the two dine and dashers, who ate at the Sturbridge Porterhouse Restaurant Saturday.

Police said they ordered filet mignon, lobster tails, crab soup and gratin potatoes. To complement their rich food, they drank Grey Goose, Jim Beam and a Fat Tire beer. To finish the meal, they ate some cheesecake and Patron cake for dessert.

All of the food added up to $263.22. Police said they put what appeared to be a credit card on the counter and informed the bartender they were stepping outside for a cigarette.

The bartender shortly realized the card was a Walmart credit card not issued to anyone, and it was declined when run.

By the time the police arrived, the two men were gone.

Police note the men had southern accents.

If you have any information or can identify the men call Sgt. Paine at 508-347-2525 ext 336.
