BOSTON ( -- Two men from Mattapan are accused of assaulting a 71-year-old man in the parking lot of a Boston church.

Jerome Hollins, 50, and Carlton Spence, 51, are charged with assault and battery on a victim over 65 years old in the Monday night altercation.

Boston police responded to the Church of the Holy Spirit on River Street just before 6:30 p.m. on reports of an assault and battery in progress.
