Two injured in fiery gas main break in Bedford

BEDFORD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Crews responded to a gas main break in Bedford Wednesday afternoon.

The gas main break occurred in the area of Plank Street and Middlesex Turnpike at about 4 p.m.

SkyFox was over the scene as firefighters worked to contain the flames. The fire continued to rage until the natural gas line was finally shut off.

The scene of the fire was a National Grid construction site. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor burns.

It is unclear what caused the line to rupture.
