Two guns seized at party in Dorchester

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police officers responding to what they describe as a well-known party house on Geneva Avenue in Dorchester ended up arresting one man and seizing two guns there early Sunday morning.

Boston police officers were in the area of 211 Geneva Ave. just after 1:30 a.m. due to a number of reports of after-hours parties. Police officers claim they watched a man get into arguments outside the home, brandish a gun, then hide it in the waistband of his pants.

After police approached the man, they recovered a loaded 9mm gun from his pants.

Dwayne Smith, 37, of Dorchester, was arrested after he failed to show officers a license to carry.

Smith is facing multiple gun charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, as well as three counts of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

When officers entered the home to clear the party, one officer saw a person throw a loaded revolver out of a second floor window. Officers recovered that gun as well, which is being processed.
