Two dead in house explosion in Manchester, NH

MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Two people are dead after an explosion in a Manchester home Monday afternoon.

At 2:30 p.m., smoke was billowing out of the home as a number of people nearby called 911.

Firefighters and ATF agents are actively investigating the scene at 210 Mooresville Road. Officials were working on determining the cause of the blast, though firefighters say there was no natural gas connection to the home.

As of 4 p.m., a number of firefighters were on the property and smoke could still be seen coming out of the home's roof.

The home is still in tact, though the front had damage and back of the ranch-style building was completely singed.

Neighbors told FOX 25's John Monahan that they believed the two people found dead inside were supposed to be on vacation. It is unclear whether anyone else lived inside the home.
