Tunnel work in Boston prompts closures on 93 North

(MyFoxBoston.com) – Overnight closures are scheduled on 93 North as the Mass. Dept. of Transportation plans to do some maintenance work on the busy roadway.

The work will begin at 11 p.m. Tuesday and will go through Wednesday at 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured at Exit 18 and allowed to re-enter at the Haymarket on-ramp in Boston.

The Mass. Dept. of Transportation says the crews will be washing down the tunnel walls and signs, cleaning out drains, and working on electrical and communications systems in the tunnel.
