Tri-County student charged with making threats on social media

FRANKLIN, Mass. — A Tri-County Regional High School student has been removed from school in relation to threatening messages.

Police say the messages were posted on social media by the student and sent to other students on Tuesday.

Officers said they have been in contact with the student, who has now been removed from the school “for the foreseeable future.”

Police have identified the student as Julius Willis, 18, of North Attleborough. He's charged with disturbing a school assembly, threat of serious disruption of school, threats to commit a crime, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

“Boy, I don’t know what was going through the kid’s head...maybe he was having a bad day or something,” Mike Trishin, a parent, said.

FOX25 went to an address listed for Willis but was told to leave. We also spoke with a teen who said he called police about the threats because he didn't feel like the school was acting quickly enough.

Willis is set to be arraigned on Wednesday.
