Sixteen-month-old Asher Nash, of Buford, Georgia, appears in ads for OshKosh B’Gosh, smiling and decked out in red apparel for the holiday season. It’s the culmination of a campaign by the toddler’s mother to help Asher make his modeling debut.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Asher’s mom, Meagan Nash,

to a talent agency handling a casting call for OshKosh B’Gosh. The agency told Meagan that Asher’s photos hadn’t been submitted because OshKosh B’Gosh “didn’t specify that they wanted a baby with special needs.”

Unhappy but undaunted, Meagan Nash went on Facebook to lobby OshKosh to use her son in an ad. A post highlighting Asher on the “Kids with Down Syndrome” Facebook page went viral, receiving more than 89,000 likes and 100,000 shares in less than two weeks, the AJC reported.

In late October, OshKosh B’Gosh

for the toddler to appear in the company’s ads. This week, the ads are out, highlighted by Asher’s radiant smile.

"Please don't ever limit my son Asher," Meagan Nash wrote on Facebook. "We don't and we never will."
