Transit police search for man who hit bus operator while driving


BOSTON ( -- Transit police are looking for a man caught physically assaulting an MBTA bus driver on surveillance video.

Police were called to Broadway Street in Chelsea just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of an assault in progress.

When investigators arrived, they learned an unknown man assaulted the operator while he was driving the bus, causing him to veer into a parked car. The impact of collision caused a chain reaction involving two other cars.
