Transit police look to identify cell phone thief

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Transit police released a video on Tuesday of a person they say robbed a woman of her cell phone on a Red Line train as it entered the Fields Corner station.

The theft happened on Dec. 19, just after 6:15 p.m. The man, seen in the video running from the train and then calmly walking up the station steps, is described as a black man, approximately 5-feet, 9-inches tall, with a medium build. He had facial hair on his chin and was wearing a black baseball hat with white letters on it, a black North Face jacket and red hoodie with jeans and gray sneakers that had neon yellow soles.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Transit police at 617-222-1050.
