Transit police look to ID two men accused in purse, cell phone robberies

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Transit police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men accused of robbing women at the Savin Hill MBTA Station.

Investigators say two women were robbed of their purses and cell phones by two men just before 11 p.m. Tuesday at the "T" station. They say one of the suspects covered his face with a knit hat, while the other pulled the hood of his sweatshirt over his face.

One of the suspects was wearing a gray "Papa Smurf" t-shirt. The other was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with the word "AERO" across it in large white letters.

Anyone with information is asked to call Transit police at 617-222-1050. Tips can be made anonymously by texting 873873 or by using the anonymous feature on the SeeSay app.
