BOSTON – A person was hit in killed on I-93 northbound in Dorchester around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
State Police told Boston 25 News as person was dead after the crash, and a MassDOT official confirmed that it was a pedestrian who had been hit on the highway.
It is unclear at this time why that person was on foot, but it appears the vehicle involved was an Audi sedan.

Traffic was being diverted off the highway at Morrissey Boulevard while police investigated the crash, but it has since reopened.
