Town officials uphold NH police officer's termination

PELHAM, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Officials in Pelham, N.H. have voted to uphold the termination of a Pelham police officer.

The Board of Selectmen announced that Eugene Stahl's employment with the police department was terminated as of Tuesday.

Town officials declined to share further comment on the nature of Stahl's dismissal.

In August, town officials told the Eagle-Tribune a termination hearing was held due to Stahl's "conduct in the line of duty."

The newspaper reports an attorney for the department claimed Stahl had been suspended repeatedly for "disregarding department policies" and had "needlessly waved his gun" near a school bus.
