BOSTON — Police are investigating after a tow truck driver was shot in Dorchester Monday afternoon.

The incident happened in front of 15 Lincoln St. after an apparent argument.

“I hear the pop, pop two times and I think that’s the gun. I come out and see the tow truck guy laying on the street,” Kevin Vo said.

The driver of that two truck was Juan Melendez. Who didn’t want to speak on camera, but was treated and released from the hospital after being hit by two bullets.

“He was trying to tow a car and a car behind him was getting mad. The tow man was in the way, they got into a heated argument and he just got shot,” a witness who asked not to be identified said.

Witnesses said the shooter was a man in a white Chevy, and police said they are still searching for him.
