Tom Brady posts message of 'unity' ahead of Texans game

Following the comments by President Donald Trump, Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady posted an Instagram Sunday with a message of unity.

In the caption he wrote, "Strength. Passion. Love. Brotherhood. Team. Unity. Commitment. Dedication. Determination. Respect. Loyalty. Work. #nflplayer."

The photo was of him and Patriots Running Back James White, who is African American.

The photo comes after comments made during a rally held by Trump Friday night in Alabama. The president criticized the NFL players who have been taking a knee during the national anthem.

"Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you'd say, 'Get that son of a b**** off the field right now. Out! He's fired,'" said Trump.

Since his comments, many NFL players and teams have condemned the "polarizing" comment from Trump, including Patriots owner and friend of Trump, Robert Kraft.

"There is no greater unifier in this country than sports, and unfortunately, nothing more divisive than politics," said Kraft.

The Patriots play the Texans at 1 p.m. Sunday.
