(MyFoxBoston.com) – Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez would be back on the gridiron by now if a murder charge had not put him behind bars.
Not only is Hernandez unable to play football, the former wide receiver is banned from watching television during his stay in jail, reports TMZ.
Sheriff Tom Hodgson says a lot of inmates at the Bristol County Jail would like to watch football, but it is not part of their policy.
Hernandez is being held in a solitary cell, which he is confined to 21 hours a day. He is charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd.
Hernandez's attorneys say there isn't enough evidence, but prosecutors say there's plenty.
Hernandez's next court appearance is set for Oct. 9.
