Elin Nordegren bought a 1932 built house on the property for $12.2 million and then had it demolished to make way for the new home.
Nordegren was criticized for having the 17,000 square-foot home demolished, but she argued that it was necessary after the mansion fell short of hurricane safety codes and was infested with termites. Her new home will include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, waterfalls, movie theater, spa and more.
The former model received a $100 million settlement in the highly-publicized divorce from Woods in 2010.
