Thunderstorms move out, humidity remains

From FOX 25 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz

The thunderstorms and flooding rains moved out Tuesday night, but the humidity is sticking around. Yes, pun intended.

The cold front still has to come through. That will happen Wednesday. The position of that front will determine where any storms will percolate. Seems the best chance will be south of Boston in the afternoon. Temperatures will warm to the mid 80s by then to go along with the humidity. This will be a great beach day. I am planning on doing the weather at Salisbury Beach, so plan on stopping by!

That front will come through by Wednesday evening, bringing less humid air behind it. However, the front will stall close to southern New England. Waves of low pressure rippling along it will keep some clouds rolling in from time to time and the risk of showers in southeast MA through the rest of the week.

It might take until Monday for that front to be pushed offshore, but that would come with another front moving through. I am concerned for Cape Cod and the Islands staying unsettled this week. Stay tuned…
